Positive Attitude
Highly successful sales professionals have an attitude that encourages growth. And your attitude can make a difference. What you think and how you see the world impacts what you do and how you do it.
The Positive Attitude Path consists of two trails: Responsible Confidence and Pragmatic Persistency.
Responsible Confidence
Responsible Confidence is a perspective that empowers those who possess it to seize opportunities and invest in the future. Blind optimism,on the other hand, simply empowers people to run headlong into brick walls. Responsible Confidence is not about ignoring reality or acting irresponsibly. Quite the contrary. Confidence requires you to face reality and recognize challenges for what they are while possessing the belief that those challenges can be addressed and overcome. Responsible confidence demands prudent action, not recklessness.
Pragmatic Persistency
High-Growth Producers recognize that challenges are a part of life and a part of their careers. Giving up in the face of adversity, however, is a retreat only reluctantly taken. connect. When a prospect objects, others might give up. Successful producers seek to understand the objection and address it while their less-successful colleagues give up. When a marketing initiative fails to deliver the expected results, High-Growth Producers analyze the results, tweak the campaign, and try again. Less successful producers quit altogether. Pragmatic Persistency is eloquently captured by Winston Churchill’s admonition to “Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense.”
