Sales Insight

The Sales Insight Path describes a way of perceiving sales. The Trailblazed Sales Project found no single sales methodology that correlates with success. What matters most is not how you sell, but how you approach selling. Most any technique can work, so long as it is consistent with sales professionalism and recognizes the importance of constant and consistent prospecting.  Not surprisingly, then, the two trails that comprise the Sales Insight Path are Sales Professionalism and Sales Development.

Sales Professionalism

For High Growth Producers, Sales Professionalism is about being worthy of the trust clients place in them. High-Growth Producers devote time to understanding their products and industry, enabling them to provide not just information to prospects, but expertise. They reject a one-size-fits all approach to sales. Instead, they listen to their prospects, analyze their needs and recommend the solution that best fits their prospects’ needs. As a result they have fewer problems after the sale, freeing them up to spend more time marketing for new clients.

Sales Development

Successful sales professionals prospect constantly and creatively. They recognize the value of a full pipeline. As a result, they always have new opportunities — which not only helps them expand their business, but provides them with the momentum necessary to recover from the inevitable setbacks that afflict all sales people. Prospecting is easier for High-Growth Producers than for their competitors. For instance, because they build relationships with their clients and understand their needs, they are more likely to ask for referrals or offering additional products and services. When it comes to sales success, what’s important is not the marketing channel producers use, it is the consistency of High-Growth Producers’ marketing that makes the difference.
